Wondering about enrollment for School Year 2020-2021?

EARLY ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR WITH UP ELEMENTARY SIBLINGS

HPISD will hold early enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year to siblings of current UP Elementary students who meet one of the following criteria: 

  • If you have a student currently attending kindergarten through third grade at UP Elementary School and you are zoned for the UP Elementary attendance zone in 2020-21, you may early enroll your incoming kindergartner or new student at UP Elementary.

or

  • If you have a student currently attending kindergarten through third-grade at UP Elementary School, but you are zoned for another elementary school in 2020-21, you may early enroll your incoming kindergartner or new student for the new attendance zone school by submitting his/her enrollment paperwork at UP Elementary. The documents will be transferred to the new school for you.

or

  • If you have a student who has declared intent to attend fourth grade UP Elementary School in 2020-21, you may early enroll your incoming kindergartner or new student for the new attendance zone school by submitting his/her enrollment paperwork at UP Elementary.  The documents will be transferred to the new school for you.

If you meet the above criteria, you are invited to early enroll your incoming kindergartner or new student the week prior to New Student Round Up. The early enrollment window for your incoming kindergartner or new student begins at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 and continues through 3:30 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020. 

Enrollment information may be accessed online at http://www.hpisd.org/. Choose “Parent/Students,” then “Enrolling a New Student.”  Please read instructions carefully to enroll for the 2020-21 school year. In addition to completing the online forms, the information required on the New Student Enrollment Checklist must be completed, printed and compiled prior to delivering it to the Armstrong front office.

Completed enrollment materials for new students that do not currently have elementary siblings will be accepted after the Round Up meeting on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.

Join us, along with your incoming kindergarten - fourth grade students, for New Student Round Up.  Learn about UP Elementary while your students tour the school.  Enrollment packets can be turned in to the front office following the meeting. 

How do I begin the enrollment process?

In preparation for Round Up, begin the enrollment process online for the 2020-21 school year at www.hpisd.org.  Choose “Parents/Students” from the top menu bar, then choose “Enrolling a New Student.” Carefully read all the instructions.  After creating a Skyward account, complete the online forms, print those that are specified for printing, and compile the hard copy items on the New Student Checklist.  Bring your enrollment packets to Round Up. Only complete enrollment packets will be accepted. 

What is an enrollment packet? 

1. Required pages printed from online enrollment

2. Proof of residency:

  • ·      copy of contract (temporary), deed or lease AND 
  • ·      copy of current water or electric bill at that address AND 
  • ·      copy of driver’s license at that address

3. Copy of student's birth certificate

4. Copy of student's social security card

5. Immunization record

6. Copy of custody papers, if applicable.
